On Tuesday, March 31st, Dr. Veronique Receveur-Brechot will give a talk about "Small angle X-ray scattering approaches for
the study of intrinsically disordered proteins" here at KU-Life (at 9.30 am) - see details on attached flier.

Veronique Receveur is an international expert in investigating the structure of proteins in solution with the small-angle X-ray scattering (SAXS) technique. One of her central interests is to investigate the structure of intrinsically disordered proteins. Intrinsically disordered proteins (IDPs) defy the structure-function paradigm as they fulfill essential biological functions while lacking well-defined secondary and tertiary structures. In her work she combines more classical SAXS techniques with bioinformatics.
