Dear Ali,
I seem to recall from an earlier posting that you are running windows?
If you are indeed running windows and using PGPLOT (the default) for visualising your instrument, zooming will unfortunately be a bit awkward. Try following these steps to see if they are of help:
1) Place your mouse cursor at the corner of what will be your zoom rectangle. Don’t click
2) Press the ‘z’ key
3) WITHOUT clicking, drag an “imaginary” / invisible zoom rectangle from where your mouse was positioned
4) Click at the diagonal corner of the wanted zoom rectangle
Other tips that are good to know:
a) If the chosen rectangle is not a square, zooming will be different aspect ratio on the two axes.
b) Pres ‘x’ at any time to come back to the original view
Best and hope this helps,
Peter Willendrup

Hi
When I open an instrument in graphics window, it is not possible for me to zoom in. and after pressing either Z key or using middle mouse button nothing happens.
Thanks
