Dear all,

I've just been testing McXtrace 1.5 on Ubuntu 20.04 LTS (Focal Fossa)
and it works fine!

* The kernel and python suite of tools install right out of the the box
by simply adding the mccode repository and then simply:
>apt-get install mcxtrace-suite-python
We highly recommend you use this toolset.

* The legacy perl-based GUI also runs without problems, mxplot.pl does
not however, as PDL no longer ships with the distribution. If you
insist, it may be installed from cpan by e.g.
>sudo cpan install PDL
N.b. For some time now giza has been shipped as a drop-in replacement of
pgplot in the distribution, and works quite well. If you really insist
on using "real" pgplot you may follow instructions found here:
https://github.com/McStasMcXtrace/McCode/issues/712

Saty tuned for more updates....

Happy simulating
Erik (on behalf of the McXtrace team)
